I always love to do commissions. The opportunity to create a masterpiece with the client’s vision in mind is absolutely thrilling!
- Price is based on the size of the canvas
- A 50% nonrefundable deposit is required to begin
- Please allow approximately 5-7 weeks for completion, longer if the client does not approve sketches
- Artist will provide 3 rough sketches in watercolor for approval by the client
- The client understands that I am not a realist painter and the final product will be the artist’s interpretation of the image, and idea of the client.
- A thorough description by the client is heavily appreciated. Please give me color scheme ideas, pictures, thoughts on the mood of the piece, and any of my previous work you really like. This helps me create your vision.
- Canvas size 36″ and smaller will be shipped on stretcher bars. Anything larger will be shipped loose in a packing tube and the customer is responsible for having the canvas re-stretched. If the client truly wishes for a larger piece to be shipped on stretcher bars I will, but understand there is a much greater risk of damage to the piece and a much higher shipping fee involved. Honestly, what you would pay in extra shipping fees would cover the cost of having it restretched.
- Once the piece is completed I will email photos of the work and at that time final payment is due.
- Once final payment is made, the piece will be shipped out in 3-5 business days with insurance and tracking provided.
- Option for residents of Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, and Maryland Only: if the piece is larger than 36″, I will personally drive the piece to your residence for $50 and hand deliver.
